To be a good fit for the Field Human Resources Manager position, you will have:
  • 6-8 years of progressive HR experience, including a mixture of generalist responsibilities and experience as a strategic leader, helping support multiple functions.  Quick question for you - click here
  • A bachelor's and/or master's degree in Business Administration is preferred, or equivalent HR experience in leading HR roles.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is highly preferred.
  • Experience in a high-growth retail/service space.
  • Experience working with Paychex applications or a similar HRIS is required. Quick question for you - click here
  • Must have experience assisting sites from a remote or hybrid environment across multiple states and regions.
  • Excellent technical experience, and proficiency with Microsoft platforms (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, intermediate to advanced Excel skills for reporting).

  • A sharp eye for identifying weak points in processes with a strategic and analytical mindset.

As Field Human Resources Manager, you will provide leadership and direction for our field-based shops and personnel.  You will be one of two field managers, each responsible for a portfolio of shops that are supported virtually and through in-person, hands-on representation. You will be self-directed and support the full scope of HR responsibilities from employee relations to payroll compliance, process improvements, and identifying employment engagement opportunities for the field organization. You will also partner with Operations and HR teams on strategic business initiatives.

You'll supervise and work closely with an Onboarding Specialist, seated in the corporate office and assigned to your portfolio. When in the field, you'll travel with District and Area Managers as you visit individual shops. The majority will be Trademark Car Wash locations, but you'll also be assigned Strickland Brothers 10-Minute Oil Change shops in one region. Specifically, you will:
  • Provide coaching and guidance regarding employment matters in policy and procedure interpretation/application, dispute resolution, corrective action, harassment and terminations.
  • Recommend appropriate steps to ensure workplace compliance.
  • Recommend changes as appropriate and document practices and procedures, focusing on continual improvement.
  • Focus on developing and maintaining employee relations programs/initiatives to promote a positive working environment and culture through retention and culture.
  • Write and deliver presentations to management staff regarding human resources policies and practices; maintain open communication with all levels of employees.
  • Support multiple projects concurrently with solid project management & planning skills.
  • Consultative approach, strategic mindset
  • Developing and leading leadership-related training sessions for onsite and remote leaders across multiple micro units.
Profile for Success

Because of the nature of the business and the fact that many of our roles are non-exempt and part-time, there is volume turnover and a strong need for employee relations. Typically, 60%-70% of what you do is dealing with employee concerns, but you'll also be heavily involved in coaching and downstream leadership training, Success in the field will be essential. We'll provide solid training to get you started, but you'll need to build strong relationships in short order. By day 60, you should have met with most of the store leaders, at least virtually, and by day 90 be able to make recommendations regarding processes and recognition. Quick question for you - click here
